Yes.  WIMP software is specifically devised to take orders via telephone or over the internet.  Additionally, an order could also be taken on an iPad.

Does WIMP interface with hand-held devices or phone systems?

Yes. WIMP software does work with any internet-ready phone that has a browser. We currently do not have our system interfaced to a phone system, however it works proficiently with Skype™.

Yes.  This is one of the crown jewels of the power of WIMP software.  It can allow your customers to track their packages/documents on their own, in real-time, without phoning your company to ask the infamous question, “Where Is My Package? ™”.  Furthermore, they would have limited information access, an access information level determined by your company.

Additionally, depending on the access level of your employee’s job status, you can provide a Status Update to the customer via email, print or fax.

WIMP software determines price by defining and accurately assessing variables such as:  Zip Code, Zone, Weight, Distance, Piece Count, Vehicle Type, Hourly and custom, all factors which will precisely give the correct cost to your customers.

We can import data in XML, CSV, or SQL, however if you are a Datatrac ™ or Ascar ™ client, we have tools to port a good portion of your data.

As of this publishing, WIMP software is best suited for smaller to medium size businesses.  Large sized businesses would probably want their own in-house equipment to run it on.
